Review: Burley D'LITE Double Child Bicycle Trailer

Review: Burley D'LITE Double Child Bicycle Trailer

We bought a Burley D'Lite from our local REI last summer and I have nothing but good things to say.

My husband and I enjoyed taking bike rides together on local bike paths prior to having our twin boys. When the boys were 18 months old we thought that they might enjoy going on bike rides with us.

Our main concern with buying and using a pull behind bicycle trailer was safety. Once we saw the D'Lite assembled that concern was alleviated. The Burley trailer is very well constructed, securely attaches to any bicycle via a universal connector and also provides a secondary safety strap.

While the trailer is very well built, it is also light weight. The light weight and large wheels make for easy towing. My husband is the dedicated tower of the boys, but I have pulled them more than a few times and it is easier than I imagined.

Most importantly, our twins love riding in the trailer. They can easily look at the front or side windows to see what is going on around us. We are looking forward to many more bike rides together with the Burley until they are old enough to ride their own bikes.
