Hello from GA

Hi Everyone! I am so glad I found this website. I think it will be neat having someone to share with and ask questions to that KNOW what you are going through! I have faternal twin girls that were 4wks old on Friday! They are very good babies. They usually sleep between 4-5 hrs at night in between feedings. Yesterday we went shopping and they went 5 1/2 before they were ready to eat! I was shocked they lasted that long! I can't wait to get to know everyone! If you are interested...Our local newspaper done a artical on my husband & I along with our surrogate who is my best friend. I will include the link and hopefully it will let you view it. :)

Yes she is!!!  When they called and wanted to do the story on us, my husband and I agreed.  However we told them we wanted it 1st to honor Jane and 2nd maybe to give someone else with infertility hope.  It did just that b/c I have heard from soooo many people with infertility issues.  Your girls are beautiful.. and like ours different as night and day.  I am worried my girls sleep pattern will change for the worse. How long does your girls sleep at night and at 10 months how much formula are they taking?

The usual routine is that they have their last bottle at around 7:00 pm and then go to bed. We would like them to stay up later, but they are READY by 7:00 - 7:30. Chloe has been pretty good recently at sleeping through the night (until 5:00 ish), but Claire will get up 2 or 3 times in the night. She will just sit up or stand up in her crib and cry.

So we get her up, give her a bottle (the first time she wakes up) and she will usually go back to sleep. If she wakes up again then we just try to calm her in her crib, if that doesn't work then we have to get her out of the crib and rock her to sleep. The funny thing is that she will fall asleep in your arms while rocking with no problems. But the second you lay her in her crib, she wakes up and cries again!

I should mention that our Pediatrician says that we should not give them a bottle in the middle of the night anymore. But honestly.. if we don't... they can be up for an hour. If we do, then they go back to sleep within 15 minutes... so we are working on that.

They have about 4 bottles (6 - 8 oz) a day, including the one in the middle of the night. They are eating stage 3 baby food and also eat cheerios, yogurt, cheese, bread, rice cereal, etc.

I hope that your girls stay good sleepers!
