Hello from California! |
Hi there!
I have an almost 9 year old daughter named Riley (5-18-99) and I was a very active member of our local MOMS club. Now, with the boys, Jack and Paul, (5-25-06) (yup birthday one week later than big sis!) I am a member of our local twins group- but not too active with it! The boys are identical and we found out we were having two at our 19 week ultrasound! Yes, we were shocked too!!! They are a handful- but awesome and so much fun! Getting close to two years old is exciting! That first 6 months of course was the most difficult and then it seems every month was just a bit easier! Still tough but easier as we all get used to each other and schedules and stuff!!
The boys were born at 38 weeks 4 days- and induced at that point! I had a terrific pregnancy- never sick- worked until 36 weeks- and took my daughter to school, etc. until the day before the boys came along!
Looking forward to seeing more posts on here....
Lanie

Hi Lanie, and welcome!
Wow 38 weeks 4 days and working until 36 weeks! That is amazing!
"After having twin daughters I realized that I would always and forever be on the losing end of any family votes."
Yea, I know it seems a bit crazy! I heard so many scary stories and was really preparing myself for bed rest, etc. The dr. just kept saying my body was meant for multiples. (I don't know whether it was meant as a compliment or not, ha ha!!)
I don't know what I would have done with an older child needing me as well, if I had a difficult pregnancy. I think I had more of a difficult 1st year for sure!!!
