Did anyone else find out they were having twins late in the game?
My wife (TwinsMom) and I didn't find out we were having twins until we went in for our 20 week ultrasound.
Did anyone else not find out they were having twins/multiples until well into the second trimester? Do you wish that you had found out sooner?

We also found out at our 20 weeks ultrasound. It was a HUGE shock to us!! Especially since I'd only gained 5 lbs at the time, and was still wearing my regular clothes. It's still a shock to us!!
We also didn't find out until our 20 week u/s that we were having twins. It was quite a shock to both of us. At the time our oldest was about 19 mo old, and then to find out we were having 2 more.
With our 2nd set, we did find out at 13 wks - on Dec 23rd...Merry Christmas!!! It was still quite a shock, my dr really didn't think it was twins again.
It was nice finding out a little earlier with the second set, I wish I would have known sooner with the first set, at least to have more time to prepare.

Oh man! Maybe finding out at 20 weeks is more common that we thought!
What kind of preparation did you do when you found out earlier? Besides mental prep of course :)

It was mostly mental, but considering we already had 3 little ones - a 5 yr old and 2-3 yr olds - it was getting them ready for 2 more babies and getting rooms rearranged. Getting things that we had already sold, because we couldn't possibly have another set of twins - yeah right. And just getting things ready. When they got here, it was like getting right back on a bike, We already knew how to do it, and we just started all over again.

Mindy, I assume there will be quite a bit of room sharing going on at your house for a few years?
