Obsessed with the remote control
Both Chloe and Claire are obsessed with the remote control. When they see it, they want it.. and they want it NOW. The funny thing is that they seem to know what it does, because when they grab hold of it, they look at the TV.
Then they start eating it like they do everything else.

My girls loved the remote as well. Use it to your advantage... We wanted the girls to crawl toward a camera so we placed it within eye shot but just out of reach and the pictures from the photo session were outstanding. They'll soon lose interest and will prefer more interesting things, like glasses (which can be completely destroyed in a matter of seconds) or wall sockets and night lights.
Good luck and always remember to laugh!
Hey that is a great idea, about helping them to look at the camera!

If by glasses you mean eyeglasses... ugh yeah they are into them ...

My two are 20 months and they still love the remote(dvr from Directv remote). My son even knows how to turn the tv on and off with it.
Hehe ours is DirecTV too.. wonder if that has something to do with it.
I sear, we hide it in the couch cushion or under a pillow and the girls won't rest until they find it. Then they hold it, flip it around a couple of time .. and proceed to eat it.

My husband is totally into gadgets - it seems every time I turn around he's bought some new electronic thing. As a result, we always had several remotes, some of which were for outdated equipment. So when the twins were little, they had their remote to play with, and Daddy had his. Benjamin was always more interested in it than Kaitlyn was, I thought it was a guy thing!
I have thought about giving the girls some old remotes to play with, but I am a bit scared they might chew off some of the buttons.
We did buy them a toy remote that looks kind of like a real one and makes sounds and stuff. But they are too smart for that.. they want the one that we are using to change the channel ;)
