We all (me, hubby,2 kids) have ch names. It was getting a little hard to come up with 2 more ch names so we just stuck with c names. ALOT of people hate that we ALL have c names, but we like it, so who cares.
We are naming our girls Cyleigh Lynn and Caleigh Lucille. Cyleigh has my middle name and Caleigh has my husbands G-Ma's middle name. G-ma was an identical twin also and passed away unexpectedly the day before I found out that I was pregnant. This has just been a weird pregnancy. I also had a miscarriage 4 months before I became pregnant with the girls. All kind of weird ,huh???
we wanted to stay with bible names like our other 2 kiddos...hannah and cain....but have really come to love
sawyer and stone....and no middle names yet,....
I named my two girls Anna Rachel and Cara Madilyn. I chose Anna's names because the first letter of her name is the same as my husbands and her middle name is the same as his mom's first name. I chose Cara's name because her first name starts with the same letter as mine and I really don't have a reason for the middle name other than we liked that name.
My boys are Jack Thomas and Paul Jacob- we liked that they could go by their initials as well - JT and PJ
When we found out it would be 2 boys we immediately thought Jack and Jake- and then we thought that'd be awful as they grow up!!!! Jack and Paul are my grandfathers names and Paul is also my father-in-law. The middle names just fit and made cute initials!

I think that we are going to stay away from the ryhming names or names that begin with the same letter - for the reasons mentioned in the thread earlier. With fraternal twins especially we think it can be very important to celebrate the fact that they are different while it seems everyone on the outside likes to celebrate 'sameness'. No names picked out at this point though. We still have a LONG time to worry about that.
Bauerman, I have talked to many parents of twins who took the same approach. It is just one of the decisions that kind of set parents of multiples apart from other parents. Just wait until the time comes to decide if they should be in the same class at school .. etc etc. :)

you know i too started out with reading all the books about twins etc...and at first thought well i guess we shouldnt name them the rhyming or with the same starting letter...but after alot of thought(and months of time passing..lol)...we decided for us that we knew how much they would be treated as 'individuals'....they would not be grouped together in anyway away from the other two kids we already have,,,, so we wanted to celebrate their names as their 'twinness' if thats a word...lol/// kinda of their way of always knowing they r special that way.....other than their names in our family they r just two more of our wonderful kids..(except that mommy had to carry them at the same time)...

We had a boy's name and a girl's name picked out. So I guess we would have been OK if we had ended up with boy/girl twins :)
We decided to go with Claire and Chloe, although some books and resources recommend against giving your twins similar sounding names.
I think that their reasoning is that giving them similar sounding names is just one more thing that takes away from their individuality.
But like I said, we chalked that up to hog wash and went with what we liked :)
